What's in your /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/defaultrouter?

defaultrouter设的是router地址(192.168.0.1)，resolv.conf没有设，因为DNS server在internet上，没法ping通。any ideas?

可能是default gateway没设置对，用netstat -r看看？如果没有的话加一句route add default xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

gateway好象是把工作站本身设置为路由器吧？不管怎样，先试试再说

是把所有机器本身无此路由的packets都发到gateway去，否则，电脑会drop这些packets

查过了，route table里有default gateway，地址也是对的，还是不行。还有我安装solaris时选择不用IPv6，有没有影响啊？

default gateway如果是192.168.0.1(router)，没有理由不通啊，否则就是router的问题了，ipv6对此没有影响

Can you ping outside world from other machines behind the router? If so, there's no reason why solaris can't. Beware that the default behavior of ping under solaris is just saying "<host> is alive".To get the normal behavior of ping, use 'ping -s <host>'. Try to ping an outside IP first, then put in your ISP's dns server(s) into /etc/resolv.conf and try to ping hostname.

LAN上的PC都是正常的，WORKSTATION能PING到PC和ROUTER，甚至能PING到ROUTER在INTERNET上的IP地址64.xxx.xxx.xxx，其它都不行，我实在没办法了

When you say WORKSTATION, are you referring to your Solaris box? Try to grab some packets while you pinging outside and see what's really going on on the wire. I believe the command is 'snoop' under Solaris.

不好意思，我弄错了，我选的sympatico的服务器（DNS、HOME PAGE、EMAIL等）都ping不通，但可以用，大概加了放火墙。用PC ping通的solaris也能ping通，谢谢各位！
