The fundamental knowledge in finance you gained from the CFA curriculums would definitely help you along the way. However, frankly, like any other exams, what you can get out of the program are mostly concepts and theories. The program will not provide you an intense (practical) training on FX related topics, therefore, to help you do your current job, I would suggest that you go take some training courses on FX through your local Treasury association.

Long term, pursue the CFA charter would help your future career path if you want to stay in finance.

eventually I will responsible for forecast all currencies FX trend, manage risks (hedge positions), hedge testing, and disclosure section in F/S.
where is the best source to learn those things, other from my mentor.
if CFA is not relevant to what i'm gonig to do, then maybe i should take some courses that are more relevant? e.g. courses from Treasurer association etc.?

I am behind everyone in my department. I haven't touched Finance since I graduated from University.
they have a high expectations on me, to pick up the job as quickly as possible. my mentor has a very strong finance bg, and his hobbies are monitoring the market and doing technical analysis.
i'll never be able to do his job... sigh~~~ and with that crap CGA exam coming in Dec, a lot of pressure now.
