  • Who were waived in China's COVID-19 vaccination program?

    The latest version of the COVID-19 vaccine administration technical guidelines, released by the National Health Commission on March 29, has clarified that the following five groups of people should not receive the vaccine:

    (1) Individuals who are allergic to the active ingredients of the vaccine, any of its non-active components, or substances used in the production process, or those who have previously experienced allergies when vaccinated with a similar vaccine.

    (2) Individuals who have previously experienced severe allergic reactions to vaccines, such as acute allergic reactions, angioedema, difficulty breathing, etc.

    (3) Individuals with uncontrolled epilepsy and other severe neurological disorders, such as transverse myelitis, Guillain-BarrƩ syndrome, demyelinating diseases, etc.

    (4) Individuals who are currently experiencing fever, acute illnesses, acute exacerbations of chronic diseases, or those with uncontrolled severe chronic illnesses.

    (5) Pregnant women.
