don't do that if you are not very skillful. Even my mom did that for 30 years in China, she can't be successful here in that way. Use yeast, it's easy and not expensive. No difference in taste.

我先和面团一块,等它发酸,一大早放在窗下,中午放在凉台,晚上干脆放到蒸锅上加温,那面碱和一大盆面粉都准备好了,只是这东风没酸呀,

Oh my god!面肥 is also some kind of living yeast. If you放到蒸锅上加温, They will be ALL dead. How can you use dead yeast to 发面?

you should keep the dough in the oven for couple hours,let the dough warm-up evenly,i always 发面 like that way, the rate of succss is 100%, trust me, the taste of 发面馒头 is quite different than yeast馒头

如果你只是想吃馒头,每4cup面用2小勺yeast,和好后有两个小时就发起来了。不要加热,会把yeast烫死的。推荐你用面包机发面,又简单,做出的馒头又好吃,因为面包机和的时间长,面能形开。还能做面包。

嘿~虽技术不高,可胃口很大,,,想吃镘头,包子,生煎,陷饼,,,,,面包还是喜欢loblaw里卖的,所以暂不回买面包机,,,,,另外,肉陷建议大家一定自己剁,我有过买肉陷恶心的经历,
