AGENCY INFO
==========================
Chinese Canadian National Council (CCNC) was founded in 1980 with a
mandate to promote the rights of all Canadians, including Chinese
Canadians, and to encourage their full and equal participation in
Canadian society.
We aim to promote understanding and cooperation between Chinese
Canadians and all other ethnic, cultural and racial groups in Canada,
and to advance and preserve Chinese historical and cultural heritage.
In 1979, Chinese Canadians across the country united to protest the
irresponsible and racist journalism of a national televised program.
Out of that movement and a subsequent conference, the need for a strong,
national organization became evident and the Chinese Canadian National
Council was formed.
Vancouver Association for Chinese Canadians (VACC) is an anti-racism and
human rights organization and one of CCNC's twenty eight local chapters
and affiliates in Canada.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
