本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛1. TOFEL---yes you must have it to apply for the 4 yrs BScN degree nursing program. You don't need the chinese college diploma to apply, as long as u have TOFEL and high school diploma is fine( including the one you get from china). Please refer to the admission requirement, they listed very detail regarding the academic prerequisit requirements.

2 Do you need to take the .the entrance exam? It depends on your prevoius education. if your got your high school diploma from an English contry within 5 yrs, they maybe consider it. if not, they may ask you to either take the entrance exam or take extra Grade 12 course in Canada.

3. the entrance exam for different school reqires different courses. some school just have one test including everything. some are not. However, most of them require English, math, Biochemistry, Physic. if you know the professional English terms or you finish your high school here, the exam is very easy for you, if not, it is hard. However, not everybody need take the exam, as i mentioned before, it all depends on how school assess your previous education.

    小女子先谢谢各位的赐教了.
    我是移民到加拿大,没有这里的高中学历,只有国内的高中学历和college文凭(非医学).
    我想申请2009的BSCN课程,但是现在只弄清楚需要托福,还有几个问题想请教各位的:
    1.我用国内的college加上托福成绩申请可以吗?
    2.如果OK,centenial/george brown or seneca是不是还需要入学考試?
    3.如果需要入学考試,请问入学考試考哪些?英文?数学?化学生物物理? 我比较关系是否需要考物理生物化学,因为国内高中学的是用中文学的,这里的是专业名词,一定很难PASS.---这是我最关心的.
    4.如果真的都要考,而且fail了science的科学考試的话,会怎么样呢?或者有其它补救方式?去college上课补?还是去成人高中拿課修读生物化学物理?
    5.如果一定要成人高中修课,一般是修12 grade下学期的科目还是整个一年12 grade都要修?一般多少时间能修完?担心申请不了2009的RN program.

    PS:听说Centenial取消了'科学'科目的入学考試,只考英文,不知道是否如此?

    • 你这个有点特殊,因为是B.S degree的,这些学校一般的PROGRAM(拿diploma),是要考试的,英文和专业(化学,数学,生物). 不清楚你这个要不要考. 如果要考的话,你可以george brown读一年的pre-health.这个很好申请,也很有帮助.对入学考试还有以后读书. -newtoronto(一家三口); 2008-11-24 (#4867499@0)
      • 是的,college的是2年,然后transfer到univ再读2年,这就是RN的4年degree program,比直接读univ的4年program入学要求低一点(其实toefl/ielts也不低).就是担心入学考試的science考試. -kennix(kennix); 2008-11-24 (#4868070@0)
