As far as I know, pharmacy does accept foreign students. PA does NOT accept foreign students no matter what the website said due to the fact foreign students do not have work permission in this situation (and PA has long waiting list any way). Nursing program is the most friendly program to Canadian students. You can also go to Dental program in Detroit Mercy (again long long waiting list), which allow you to practice in Canada if you find a Canadian dentist to sponsor you (practice under his supervision for 6 months before formally licensed). Those information is from my personal experience, I graduated from Wayne and know > 100 Canadian students in Detroit in different situations.

Are you also from a medical background? Even you graduate from a University from US (like Wayne), it doesn't guarantee to stay in US (find a job / apply Green card). Maybe I have to stay in Canada to get my Bachelor degree in nursing...

nursing is most realistic if you want to be trained in usa
pharmacy is workable, if you get in (very hard) and graduate, you can find job there (not like MD, and PA, you are not allowed to work before you get GC)
In another hand, if you have Canadian nursing degree, you can easily liscenced in US and find job there. In DMC (Detroit Medical Center, they even have Canadian nursing affair office to recruit nurses from Canada)

Originally I plan to pass the medical board examinations directly to be medical doctor here. While preparing examinations, I can work in a research lab as a lab technician since I have a Master degree in physiology here, or don't work -iam20000(iam); 2008-8-25 {417} (#4638597@0)

But I don't have confidence in English communication skills and medical knowledge and will take 4-5 years to do this. Unfortunately, I am offered a so so alternative such as nursing (night shift, stress in work etc). If I want to be ultrasound technologist or radiology technologist, I have to wait another year to apply Michener. Or dietitian or something.
I know now how hard to get US green card and so hesitate to apply a US one. As a research lab tech, I worked for almost two years in Toronto. I got my Master's degree in here.
