What do that affect you? not much other than: 1) if you are applying for a higher level job (ie: controller) they would like to see your transcript. 2) If you are currently in COllege and would like to apply to an University, for certain that they will ask for your transcript. 3) If you apply to graduate/professional schools, the admission officer will have a second thought even if you are highly qualified. Other small effects such as i) cannot sleep at night, feared that you will get caught. now that you are caught, you will fear that what will happen to you. ii) There is a very high chance that you will receive a grade of "F" in this particular course this semester because professor can distribute any marks they want. Even if you do good in rest of the semester for this course, the professor already lost the confidence in your works; therefore, you won't receive a good final grade.

What are the chances of getting caught? I would say higher than 90% if you are not smart and copy words for words. If you are smart and modify significantly on the works you've copied, then the likelihood of getting caught is as low as 10%.
