Seneca College offer a new program called Business Administration - Accounting and Financial Planning (AFP 3-year). ACC and ACF student may transfer to this program before entering semester 4 to maximize your credits, because semester 4 is where the programs differentiate.

You may either choose the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or CGA level 3 for your specialization. However, you may pick both, because by taking extra 2 courses after completing the diploma, you have met all the CFPs' academic requirements as well as getting CGA level 3. The difference between AFP and ACF is that AFP students does not need to take most of the year 3 courses from ACF (Taxation, Auditing, English, Advanced accounting etc...) They were substituted by all of the CFP recognized courses. Taxation, Auditing and Advanced Accounting aren't recognized by CGA for transfer credits anyway, mind as well omit them.

This program is best to get your money's worth.

most teachers in the first year are nice and friendly and gives good marks. actually, the whole first and second year are very easy. just stay away from the following teachers: -dota(MCC); 2007-8-1 {699} (#3842703@0)
Harold Dunsmuir, doesn't teach. he always like to talk about the olden days where Accounting was very simple.

Masuma Jaffer, I never had her, I just heard horror stories about her.

Wayne Campbell, I like him however, he takes away many marks for bad English usage. I don't have any problems with him because I am almost a CBC. most people cannot satisfy his standard for English writing although that course is an Accounting course (ACC415).

Lokhrajie Persaud teaches the same course ACC415, I never had her, but most people don't want to take it with her.

Look at your calendar for ACF http://www.senecac.on.ca/fulltime/ACF.html , each semester indicates what course you have to take and the number of courses you may take. If you add more course load to your timetable than what is required, you will be billed later. For example, if semester 1 allows you to take 5 courses, then you must register 5 courses. If you added a 6th course, Seneca will send you a bill. If you took only 4 courses, you do not get an refund because it's still over the 66% of the course load (80%). If you only take 3 courses, then you will receive a little refund (around 200-300 dollars).

Most semester 1 courses can be taken without having the student taking EAC150. If your English test result is bad, you will be placed in EAC149, or EAP300 or EAP200 etc.... As a result, you pay extra tuition and graduate late if you do not take Summer semesters.

I have 2 friends who came to Seneca from University got placed in EAC149. And one of them graduated with a Science degree from UofT. The other one got kicked out of the program (B.A-English major).

If you got placed in EAC150 on your first semester, then you are my god. OR maybe you are just too lucky because that marker is on drug.

I know I can't study on EAC 150 beacause my english is not strong, so it should be lower, maybe EAC149, or EAP300 or EAP200 etc..It means if my english is not good,I can register ACC120,ICA001,QNM106,SSC102.I should not choose english until i get english level from seneca,right?then I can add english course later for free?right?

BUS106 requires EAC149 or EAC150 as co-req. So if your English placement is in EAP300 or lower, you might not be able to take BUS106
