His is salary is $77.5K, which is $10K lower than his old salary. However, we promised him $10K bonus so as to "match" his old salary. But there are some questions: 1) Can our company survive to issue a bonus to him? 2) Will he stay with us for a long time so that he can get the bonus?
How high the salaryt is does not make big difference. However, whether you have an income or not makes a big difference.
