我们房子买了快20 年了,

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛 一直都没有请任何经纪代理卖房子。 我发了邮件给 RECO, 下面是他们的回复。我跟他们说了, 我们没有联系任何经纪卖房,然后, RECO 就一直不回复。他们是甩锅吗?

Good afternoon ,

On behalf of the Real Estate Council of Ontario I acknowledge receipt of your completed complaint form.

We have reviewed your complaints and while we understand and appreciate your concerns, the information reviewed thus far does not appear to indicate non-compliance with the Real Estate and Business Broker’s Act, 2002, (REBBA 2002). If a registrant were to contact an expired listing where the seller has indicated that he/she does not wish to be contacted after expiry, this could be viewed as unprofessional behavior by the registrant contrary to REBBA 2002. In addition, this could potentially be a contravention of the federal privacy legislation. You may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca) for more information in that regard. In addition, be aware that information such as the completion date and purchase price of a real estate transaction become public information after closing, available through land registry offices in Ontario. As there is no apparent contravention of REBBA 2002 in the situation outlined, we are unable to proceed further with your complaint.

    • I'd suggest you first take this to RECO if you have attempted to settle with your agent but to no avail. Then the Small Claims, finally the Ontario Court of Justice if you are dissatisfied with RECO's ruling.
      Be advised that suing someone for "violating privacy" could be a complex and costly process where your evidences should prove the damages incurred by your real estate agent are quantifiable (though this is not required but the implication of damage can be challenged otherwise) and they have done it with intention and negligence. Good luck.

              为什么他要特意去查我的信息? 我隔壁和对面的邻居都没有。

      • 我有个公寓是出租的,有个经纪每个月寄信,内容是该公寓的成交情况,信是寄到我家的。说明这家伙不光查了谁是公寓业主,还查了业主住哪里。
